In this article, I would like to discuss some resume goal statements that you can use in order to create a comprehensive resume.As a refresher, goal statements are stated in your resume in order to summarize what you want to achieve in your career. You can write down these statements either on a piece of paper or on a computer screen. The objective of a goal statement is to identify the specific steps that need to be taken to achieve your dream job. Some examples include: I will get promoted to Vice President; I want to be promoted to an Executive Director; I want to be promoted to be a Manager; I want to be promoted to President; I want to be promoted to Marketing Director; I want to get promoted to Marketing Manager. These are just examples but you get the idea.Goal statements can also include supporting facto rs such as the task or tasks that you want to accomplish and their scope. Supporting factors should always be included and in no way are they the end all of the statement. They only serve as a clarification and keep you focused on the steps needed to attain your desired goal.To make resume goal statements more effective, you can then add other supporting statements. For example, you can say 'My mentor, Dov Shaul, has recently started a new department in our organization'. You can also indicate why it is important for you to pursue your dream job and what reasons might be why you must do so.In addition to goal statements, you can also include two quotes in your resume. These quotes should be very short and should relate to your accomplishments, interests, work values and life values.The last thing that you must remember about resume goal statements is that you should keep them short and concise. If you continue with too many long statements, you will end up creating a big resume prob lem.Therefore, use resume goal statements as a guideline in order to give the reader an idea as to how your life is going to change when you get your dream job. Also, add a little bit of humor to your statements. Humor can help in raising the morale of the reader and make them feel confident that you have achieved the goals you have set.To recap, goal statements are a way to set a goal and as a result, make the reader feel a sense of accomplishment. You can also add supporting statements such as motivating quotes on your values and life values. Use all of these in order to create a well-researched and informative resume.
